Baby Barrett #2 (16 weeks in the making)

(Read with caution. Pregnancy Posts may have T.M.I.)

How far along? 16 weeks, due May 6th (Baby is now the size of a avocado.)

Total weight gain: 3 pounds

Maternity clothes? Some days – I still wear my pre-pregnancy jeans with belly bands most of the time, although that’s getting a little annoying.

Stretch marks? Not from this pregnancy, but some faint remains from the last one

Sleep: Last night I laid awake for about three hours, trying to go back to sleep. I wasn’t hungry, and I didn’t have to pee. I wasn’t too uncomfortable, just awake. I’ve been taking a short nap during the day with the kiddos, but not this week. I just haven’t needed the nap as much, so I’ve been more productive with my time. Yay!

Miss Anything?
Not really. I’m cooking again and enjoying food more, so all is well.

Movement: Yes. The movement aren’t regular or anything, but I definitely feel little kicks and flutters.

Food cravings: During the first trimester I was craving a lot of meat, but I wasn’t eating much of it so I think my body just craved the protein it needed. I’m over that and eating normal again, but I haven’t had any other real cravings.

Anything making you queasy or sick: I’m mostly over the nausea, but there are a few smells that still bother me. When the trash can is being emptied, there is a certain “trash” smell that I guess lingers with the can that makes me gag. I also gag when I open containers of leftovers from the refrigerator or when Justin cooks his chicken. I used the love the same seasonings, but the smell is just too strong for me now.

Gender: Either a boy or a girl 😉

Name: I’ll reveal after we find out the gender.

Labor Signs: too early for all that

Belly Button: innie

Wedding Rings: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: The moods seem to be leveling out.

Looking Forward to: not having to take Zofran. I’ve had a few days where I didn’t have to, but then there are days that  I do. I know within the first 5 minutes of being up if I need one or not. It makes my day go by SO MUCH SMOOTHER!

Next Appointment: December 17th
