Baby Barrett #2 (8 weeks in the making)

(Read with caution. Pregnancy Posts may have T.M.I.)

How far along? 8 weeks, due May 6th (Baby is now the size of a kidney bean.)

Total weight gain: down 2 pounds instead (But weight fluctuates so who really knows?)

Maternity clothes? Not yet, and we’ll definitely have to do some shopping when that time comes

Stretch marks? Not from this pregnancy, but some faint remains from the last one

Sleep: exhausted a lot of the time now… Sometimes my eyelids feel as heavy as bowling balls. I don’t get to nap with all the little ones I care for, but I try to close my eyes while rocking a baby and go to bed early.

Miss Anything?
Enjoying food maybe? The things that don’t sound good to me and make me want to gag far outweigh what does sound good, and of course those craving aren’t always accessible for me either. I have been SO thirsty, but water and everything else just sickens me. I’ve had a few sodas that seemed to taste good, but I don’t want to get into that habit again. Maybe it’s the carbonation that is good to me.

Movement: As crazy as it may be for me to feel anything this early, I’m pretty sure that I have already. It actually kind of startled me like “what was that?”, but it happened a few times all in a row. I’m pretty in-tune with my body, and I remember what it felt like from my last pregnancy, so that must’ve been it. I felt Ryce Man move for the first time at 11 weeks.

Food cravings: Shrimp Po-boy from O’Neil’s and Slap yo Mama’s wings

Anything making you queasy or sick: Opening the refrigerator, opening the pantry, and pretty much every food you can think of

Gender: Too early to tell

Name: Wouldn’t you like to know? I’ll probably give he or she a nickname here on my blog for safety reasons, or I may decide to reveal both names 😉

Labor Signs: too early for all that

Belly Button: innie

Wedding Rings: On

Happy or Moody most of the time: the moods are swinging 😉

Looking Forward to: no more nausea

Next Appointment: not set yet…. waiting for some things to get done first

It’s fun to watch Ryce Man interact with babies we come in contact with (anticipating how he’ll do I guess), at church and the baby I care for here at our house. He tries to say “baby”, but it kind of sounds like “bubble” to me. 😉 So cute! Sometimes he plays and doesn’t have a care in the world for the baby, and other times he’s very interested in him. At church, someone will show him a baby to see his reaction, and he always walks right over to get a peek. It’s precious.
